HR Excellence in Research Award

The Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry, Czech Academy of Sciences (IMC CAS) is striving to obtain the prestigious HR Excellence in Research Award. This award is granted by the European Commission to research and educational institutions that adhere to the principles of the European Charter for Researchers.

The purpose of the Human Resources Strategy for Researchers (HRS4R) is to improve the working environment and establish fair and transparent conditions for researchers. Key themes include academic freedom, research ethics, equality, professional development, and the protection of intellectual property rights. Strong emphasis is placed on international collaboration, mobility, talent acquisition, and participation in international projects. An integral part of the process is the implementation of the OTM-R policy (Open, Transparent and Merit-based Recruitment), applied during staff recruitment and selection.
