Success of a former Course participant
We are delighted to announce that Dr. Mourad SOUIBGUI, a former Course participant, has been awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Fellowship CZ under the Operational Programme Jan Amos Komenský, co-funded by the European Union and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic (reg. number CZ.02.01.01/00/22_010/0013288). The two-year fellowship will commence on 1st December 2025.
Dr. Souibgui earned his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Tunis El Manar (Tunisia) in collaboration with the Centre for Nanosciences and Nanotechnologies (C2N), CNRS, Paris-Saclay University (France) in 2020. His doctoral research focused on graphene-based heterostructure systems, exploring their fundamental properties and potential for advanced nanotechnological applications.
In 2023, Dr. Souibgui joined the Department of Biomaterials and Bioanalogous Systems (Head: Dr. Vladimir Proks) at the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences (IMC CAS) through the UNESCO/IUPAC Postgraduate Course in Polymer Science, supported by the Czech Academy of Sciences, UNESCO, and IUPAC. During this 10-month program, he carried out research on nanofibrous biodegradable membranes for tissue engineering under the supervision of Dr. Hana Studenovská.
Following the completion of the program, Dr. Souibgui continued at IMC CAS as a postdoctoral researcher in the same group, where he remains under the mentorship of Dr. Studenovská.
The MSCA Fellowship represents an exciting opportunity for Dr. Souibgui to advance his innovative research on nanofibrous membranes based on polymer/graphene oxide nanocomposites for tissue engineering applications. This project aims to develop next-generation biomaterials with enhanced performance, contributing to the future of regenerative medicine.
We warmly congratulate Dr. Souibgui on this remarkable achievement and wish him continued success in his research journey!
