Inorganic Chemistry published a combined X-ray diffraction, NMR, and DFT study of DOTAM complexes with zinc, cadmium, and mercury, showing, among other findings, how residual 13C–14N dipolar interactions can reveal metal-induced changes in amide-group coordination that are not captured by X-ray diffraction alone.
