Topic Investigation of the energy storage systems: synthesis of active electrode material by acid-assisted polymerization method
Supervisor Elena Tomšík, Ph.D
Department Conducting Polymers
Description Various semiconducting polymers will be obtained by acid-assisted polymerization. The supramolecular assembly of the polymers will be investigated by applying various electrochemical methods such as electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) or electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance (EQCM). The supramolecular approach to polymers should offer very interesting perspectives due to high “sensibility” to the external factors (solvent, temperature, electric and magnetic fields). The aim of this project is to synthesize and deposited electro-active polymer materials on the current collector and to understand how conditions of the formation of the supramolecular polymer influence its ability to accumulate energy.
