Research and development at the department is supported by a number of modern instruments for synthesis, separation and characterization of prepared low molecular substances, macromolecules and more complicated supramolecular systems.

• Size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) with HPLC system (Shimadzu Japan), three detectors are connected to system: UV-VIS detector (SPD-M20A), differential refractometr (Optilab TrEX, Wyatt Technology USA) and light-scattering detector (DAWN HELEOS II, Wyatt Technology USA).
• Instrument for measuring the hydrodynamic radius of particles based on dynamic light scattering (Zetasizer Nano Series ZEN3500, Malvern, Worcestershire, UK)
• HPLC chromatography (Shimadzu Corp., Japan) with UV–VIS detector (SPD-M20A) and reverse phase column (Chromolith High Resolution RP18-e, Merck & Co., Inc., USA)
• Specord Plus UV-VIS spectrophotometer (Analytik Jena, Germany)
• Lyophilizer L10-55 PRO (Greogor instruments)
• Vacuum rotary evaporator (Heidolph HEI-VAP Precision) with chiller (Heidolph RotaChill)
• Centrifuge (Eppendorf 5430R)
• Evaporation system for water and high boiling solvents (Biotage V 10 Touch)
• Optical microscope (Olympus BX43)
• Flash purification instruments for of low molecular substances (Biotage Isolera One)
