National Institute for Cancer Research

Czech researchers would like to improve the diagnosis and treatment of cancer at the newly established National Institute for Cancer Research (NÚVR). The institute will connect 71 research teams from 11 centres in Prague, Olomouc and Brno including researchers from the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry.

The European Union will fund this project with an amount of CZK 1.4 billion within the EXCELES programme of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic. The project will also provide new patents, certified methods or expert recommendations. All these results should enable significant innovations in cancer diagnosis and treatment.
