Conference Scope and Focus

The 88th PMM conference will focus on the design, understanding, and application of functional polymeric and hybrid materials for addressing pressing challenges in water quality. Emphasis will be placed on advanced materials engineered for selective sensing, recognition, and removal of a wide range of contaminants in complex aqueous environments.

The program will highlight recent progress in molecular recognition and sensing mechanisms, interfacial processes governing contaminant–material interactions, and separation and transport phenomena in membrane and catalytic systems.

Attention will also be given to emerging characterization techniques, multiscale modeling, and data-driven approaches that enable predictive insights into material performance and guide the development of next-generation water treatment technologies.
