TopicBinary hybrid nanoparticles with polymer coating for noninvasive imaging
AnnotationThe aim of the dissertation thesis will development of new hybrid nanoparticles with inorganic core and polymer coating for functional noninvasive imaging in vivo. The nanoparticles will serve for imaging of solid tumors with two phase targeting or as bimodal systems with two indipendent probes – nanoparticle and low-molecular-weight probe connected by degradable polymer linker. The latter system would enable tracking and determination of viability of the implanted cells. The thesis will focus on polymer synthesis, nanoparticle preparation and coating of the particles with proposed polymers, radiolabeling of the prepared particles and on biological testing in vitro and in vivo (on collaboration basis).
