TopicInfluence of the drug or diagnostic polymere carrier structure to their influx, efflux, cell to cell transfer and localization in tumor and healthy tissue
AnnotationPolymer carriers are important systems as controlled drug targeting to the selected tissue in nanomedicine, which are intensively studied. Inner structure and size of the polymers could importantly influenced their biodistribution, fate of the cells and potential reaction of immune system. These factors influence at the end the possible therapeutic effects. The aim of this project is synthesis of different polymer carriers, study of their internalization, intracellular localization, efflux and cell to cell transmission. For the evaluation of the polymer transport will be used molecular biological methods, mainly in vitro cultivation of cell cultures, fluorescent confocal microscopy or electron microscopy. The project is on the boarder of biochemistry, macromolecular chemistry and molecular biology. At present, overlap of these topics are extremely actual for increasing efficiency of drug development and therapeutic approaches. The applicant will be trained in principal techniques of polymer preparation as well as in principal methods of cell and molecular biology.
