Solution Behavior of HPMA Polymers with Different Chain Architectures

Lenka Kotrchová
Lecture of the lecture cycle
22.1.2026 10:00, Lecture room A

This lecture presents an overview of water-soluble polymers as important materials in biomedical research, with a particular focus on methacrylamide-based homopolymers and copolymers exhibiting linear, two-arm, and star-like architectures in aqueous solutions. The talk explores how polymer architecture influences solution behavior. Intrinsic and shear viscosity, along with differences in molecular and macroscopic behavior, will be discussed, highlighting the role of polymer structure in determining solution properties and guiding the design of functional polymer systems.

The lecture is presented in English
