Lecture of the lecture cycle
22.5.2025 10:30, Lecture room A
Development of new anticancer polymer-drug conjugates (PDCs) is always connected with reliable evaluation of PDC anticancer efficacy and its suitability for medical application. Utilizing a variety of biological methods helps with the first decision which PDC is promising and might be successful in a clinical trial. Biological methods also help identify the therapeutic targets and reveal the mechanism of PDC actions, which is essential for deeper understanding of cancer biology and potentially further PDC development. The lecture will summarize biological methods performed at IMC and their application in the process of anticancer PDC discovery. Newly developed and promising anticancer PDCs will be mentioned and used for the illustration of complexity of biological evaluation procedure.
