TopicMembranes for electromembrane processes
Annotation"Wind turbines and solar photovoltaic power plants endanger stability of the electricity transmission grid. Technology of storage of the produced energy is required – hydrogen economy offers a solution:. Hydrogen is produced in electrolysers, then it is stored, and when necessary hydrogen is combusted in fuel cells to produce electricity. The key part of those apparatus is a ion-exchange membrane. The aim of the research is development of new robust polymer materials and new types of membranes for extreme conditions in the above processes.
