TopicTime-resolved optical spectroscopy of polymers for charge and energy transfer.
Annotation"Dissociation of excitons is a key process for the conversion of photon energy to electrical energy of free charges.The lifetime and diffusion length of excitons and the efficient charge transfer in polymers are important parameters for their application in optoelectronics, particularly in organic solar cells, field-effect transistors, light-emitting diodes and sensors. The work will be focused on the experimental study of the photogeneration of free charge carriers and on the energy and charge transfer in donor-acceptor polymer and nanocomposite systems and composites containing plasmonic nanoparticles and quantum dots. Femtosecond time-resolved photoinduced transient absorption spectroscopy and transient charge carriers mobility measurements will be emloyed as the experimental techniques. The detailed knowledge of deexcitatcion processes will improve the design of energy cascade for free charge carriers formation after the photoexcitation. Suitable for students with completed master studies in physical chemistry, polymer and chemical physics"
