TopicBranched and grafted polymers and copolymers studied by a combination of statistic and physical - chemical methods
AnnotationBranched and grafted polymers and copolymers are precursors of supramolecular structures, such as gels and others self-assembly-polymer system and they are important in many industrial applications such as coatings and construction materials. Although the basic theoretical approaches to the branching mechanism have been formulated in the fifties and sixties of the last century, the branching mechanism as well as grafting is still the inspiration to studies of the mechanism of formation and physical properties of such structures. The candidate of the doctor study in this field, additionally to the self-dependent approach to the application of theoretical treatments as well as statistical procedures for the interpretation of statistical data, is expected to use unaided and constructionally develop chromatographic separation procedures such as size-exclusion chromatography with multiple detection.
