TopicPolymer nanocomposites with controlled molecular architecture
AnnotationThe thesis will be aimed at elucidation of the processes determining the unique behavior of polymer nanomaterials. The nanostructured polymers, mainly organic-inorganic systems based on polymer matrices containing inorganic nanostructures will be studied. The polymer systems with different types of nanodomains will be prepared and characterized. The structure of the polymer nanocomposites will be controlled both in nano- and microscale, i.e. at the molecular and supramolecular level. The thesis will involve synthesis of the polymer systems, study of the nanocomposite structure evolution during polymerization, characterization of the structure by using the modern physical methods as well as determination of the properties of the polymer nanocomposites.
