Prague Meetings on Macromolecules
59th meeting - 40th microsymposium
PRAGUE, 17 - 20 JULY 2000
The Microsymposium will provide a forum for experts from academia and industry specializing in various aspects of biomedical materials. The primary objective is to provide an interdisciplinary forum for the discussion of the relationship between the structure of biorecognizable systems on one hand and their physicochemical and biological properties on the other. The pros and cons of traditional synthetic pathways and genetically engineered materials will be evaluated.
The following experts have accepted the invitation to present main lectures:
The following scientists were contacted to present special 30 minute lectures:
J. ANDERSON, Y.-H. BAE, H. BRONDSTED, V. CAIOLFA, R. GURNY, J. HELLER, T. HIRANO, A. HOFFMAN, M. and J. JOZEFOWICZ, A. KABANOV, T. KISSEL, J.B. LLOYD, T. MINKO, E. NEUSE, K. PARK, S. PENCZEK, N. PEPPAS, N.A. PLATE, D. PUTNAM, B. RIHOVA, H. RINGSDORF, L. SEYMOUR, P.-Y. YEH.
A poster session is planed (75-100 min). The number of posters is not limited. Detailed information on the format of posters will be given in the Second Circular.
A plenary discussion on the future of biomedical polymers will be organized.
Panel discussion leader:
J.D. ANDRADE (University of Utah, Salt Lake City, U.S.A)
