Advanced Composites for Detection and Removal of Pollutants from contaminated Water

The development of advanced composite materials for sensor and absorbent applications is the goal of the APOLLO project which will connect the knowledge of scientists from different countries. The present project aims to establish a collaboration between four active research groups and one start-up company: IMC, DEU, UPER, ICMPP– as associated partner, and ACADEMICHEM is SME. The topic of collaboration covers an interdisciplinary approach to obtaining and testing advanced composite materials (combining the properties of biopolymers obtained via biotechnological approaches from various biomass sources by experts from Türkiye and Indonesia, synthesis of conductive polymers as poly-indole (PIN) and modified poly-porphyrins, a key property for an electrochemical interface, and extensive knowledge of electrospinning by an expert from Romania).
