Department of Vibrational Spectroscopy is equipped by infrared (FTIR) and Raman spectrometers and by other instruments.

  • Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy
    • FTIR spectrometer Thermo Nicolet Nexus 870 for measurements in near- and mid-infrared regions
      • StepScan module for measurements of rapid processes
    • FTIR spectrometer Thermo Nicolet 6700 for measurements in near- and mid-infrared regions
      • FTIR microscope Continuum for measurements in transmission and reflection mode (mapping of samples possible) and microATR mode
    • accessories to the FTIR spectrometers Thermo Nicolet
      • Golden GateTM Heated Diamond ATR Top-Plate, single reflection ATR system, for solid and liquid samples allowing to follow the temperature dependences
      • multiple-reflection ATR accessory, equipped with various ATR crystals (ZnSe, Ge, Si) for measurement of liquids, compressible (soft) powders, films and coated surfaces
      • specular reflection accessories with fixed 45° and variable angle of incidence suitable for measurement of films on reflective surfaces

    • Raman microspectrometer Renishaw inVia equipped by microscope Leica and lasers for excitation in visible (Ar-ion laser 514.5 nm, HeNe laser 632.8 nm) and near-infrared region (near-infrared diode laser 785 nm) with possibility of samples mapping and of depth profiling in confocal Raman mode
      • heating and freezing microscope stage THMS600 for liquid and solids
    • FT Raman module NXR (module to the Thermo Nicolet 6700 spectrometer) equipped by laser for excitation in near-infrared region (Nd:YAG laser 1064 nm)
