TopicExosomes and mikrovesikuly as intercellular communication unit after interaction of cells with the polymer drugs and drug carriers simultaneously
AnnotationExosomes and microvescles are small membrane based vesicles. They are important indicators of physiological and pathological processes. These particles may modulate the response of the organism to anti-tumor treatment, the development of metastases, and also can serve as transport systems for anticancer drugs. Polymer drug carriers enable controlled drug targeting to the selected tissue together with minimizing side effects of the therapy. The study of the response of cells and characterization of tumour tissue modulations through signal microparticles after treatment with targeted polymer therapeutics can greatly streamline the development thereof. The aim of the project is the preparation of polymer therapeutics and study the response of cells to interact with the polymeric carrier, and cancerostatics, respectively intercellular communication via microparticles and exosomes, their characterization and modulation of the formation, depending on the type of carrier and drug. The vesicles will be also studied as cell own transport system of cancerostatics. The proposed theme concerns the overlapping fields of biochemistry, macromolecular chemistry and molecular biology, which is currently highly topical in the light of the necessary interconnection of leading to a more efficient drug development and therapeutic approaches. The applicant will be trained in principal techniques of polymer preparation as well as in principal methods of cell and molecular biology.
