Ing. Patrycja Bober, Ph.D.

Ing. Patrycja Bober, PhD, is the Head of the Department of Functional Electroactive Materials at the Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences since 2019. She received her PhD degree from Faculty of Science of Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic in 2013. After that, she did postdoctoral work at the Åbo Akademi University, Turku, Finland. She has published 126 peer-reviewed papers with 3 502 citations; current h-index 36 (WOS May 2026).

Within her department, she deals with the preparation of conducting polymers and their composites with organic and inorganic materials, by chemical or electrochemical polymerization with regard to the control of polymer morphology and high electrical conductivity. Her research explores advanced functional materials for energy storage, water purification and sensing technologies.

Her team cooperates with a number of workplaces in the Czech Republic and abroad (Austria, Serbia, Netherlands, France, etc.) in the field of applications of prepared materials.
