After studying at the Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague in the ceramics studio of Professor Eckert, Helena Samohelová worked as a restorer at Umělecké řemeslo (Artistic Crafts) and completed scholarship work at ceramics factories. Many of her works can be found in public spaces, such as the Prague main railway station or the Můstek station on line B of the Prague metro.
