Introduction

It is our great pleasure to take over the baton from our Slovak colleagues and to host the 14th edition of the traditional meeting of Slovak and Czech polymer chemists and physicists, "Polymery 2026". The conference will once again take place in the pleasant surroundings of Třešť Chateau, providing an inspiring setting for scientific discussions and informal networking.

The Czech–Slovak Polymer Conferences have long been known for their broad thematic scope, encompassing both fundamental and applied research, and for bringing together scientists from academia and industry. This diversity has consistently fostered fruitful exchange and collaboration across disciplines and generations.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee, we cordially invite you to participate in Polymery 2026. The meeting will provide an excellent platform for presenting your work, sharing ideas, and strengthening connections within our polymer community — whether you are a student, an early-career researcher, or an experienced scientist.

RNDr. Petr Chytil, Ph.D., chairman of the conference
