A:
Our
legal system has been adapted to European standards. For health
insurance please apply for the European Health Insurance Card as it is
written on http://ec.europa.eu/social/main.jsp?catId=559.
The
possibility to use this card depends on your status in your country,
for instance whether you stay as an employee or a student during
the time of travelling abroad
or not. For confirmation please contact your insurance
company. If you can't use this card we will buy for you a commercial
insurance here.
Q:
There are
different prices for lunches available in the canteen for UNESCO students and employees, aren't they? Could you
explain why?
A: Employees
contribute by 2.5% of their salaries to the "Institute's social fund"
from which employee's lunches are supported. Your status in the
institute is "guest" and you are not obtaining a salary but a tax-free
"premium" from which no contribution goes to the social fund. Therefore
you buy lunches for full price 71, 80 or 91 CZK.
