57th meeting - 39th microsymposium

ADVANCES IN POLYMERIZATION METHODS: CONTROLLED SYNTHESIS OF FUNCTIONALIZED POLYMERS

PRAGUE, 12 - 15 JULY 1999

SCOPE

The aim of the Microsymposium is to bring together research experts working in all areas of controlled polymer synthesis regardless of the nature of the chain carrying species. The topics will include recent methods of polymer tailoring and polymer functionalization. The meeting will provide a stimulating atmosphere for critical and new research initiatives.

TOPICS

  1. Tailoring of polymers by ionic living systems
  2. Controlled free-radical polymerization
  3. Synthesis of functionalized polymers by initiation and termination methods and by chemical modification of polymers
  4. Characterization and application of functionalized polymers

MAIN LECTURES

The following experts have accepted the invitation to present main lectures:

SPECIAL LECTURES

About twenty special lectures (20 minutes each, additional 5 minutes for discussion) are to be presented at the Microsymposium.

Those interested in presentation of a special lecture should submit a brief summary, along with the preliminary registration card, to the P.M.M. Secretariat not later than by 15th October, 1998. In November 1998, the Conference Programme Committee will inform the authors whether their lectures have been accepted. Special lectures that have not been accepted may be presented as poster communications.

POSTER COMMUNICATIONS

Two poster sessions are planned (75-100 minutes each). The number of posters is not limited. Detailed information on the format of posters will be given in the Second circular.

PUBLICATION

Summaries of main lectures, special lectures, and poster communications will appear in the Programme Booklet. Full texts of main and special lectures will be published in a special volume of Macromolecular Symposia.

GENERAL INFORMATION

See Permanent PMM information
