TopicHigh-rate supercapacitors based on conducting polymer
AnnotationPoly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) is a conducting polymer that possesses high electronic conductivity and good chemical/electrochemical stability, which makes it suitable as an electrode material for supercapacitors. The goal of the project will be focusing on the chemical polymerization of PEDOT, and on studying the role of its formation and organization on electrochemical performance. Cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge/discharge and impedance spectroscopy will be applied to study the ability of PEDOT to store energy. The mechanism of energy storage in PEDOT will be investigated.
