TopicSupramolecular approach to create organic semiconductor: polyaniline
AnnotationGeneration and storage of energy is one of the most important scientific and technological challenges of this century. Semiconducting polymers are considered to be promising candidates in this context. Supramolecular polymers (or self-assemblies) of organic semiconductors should offer very interesting perspectives due to high “sensibility” to changes of external factors (solvent, temperature, electric and magnetic fields). Supramolecular nature of polyaniline has been revealed recently by our group. The aim of this project is to understand how formation of the supramolecular semiconducting polymer and its capacity to generation and storage of electrical energy can be controlled by external factors.
