TopicStructure of polymer single crystals by means of precession electron diffraction
AnnotationThe objective of this work is to study structure of synthetic polymer single-crystals by precession electron diffraction. Although the synthetic polymers are used all over the world, their crystalline structure is not fully elucidated. The work includes both growing the polymer single crystals (at Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry) and determination of their structure (in collaboration with Institute of Physical Chemistry) using quite new, recently developed technique - precession electron diffraction.The work can be focused, according to the student's preferences, on the experiments connected with the growing of crystals or on the calculations associated with the determination of their structure.
