Way to IMC by car (surroundings 30 km)

Description of the way from selected directions

Motorway D 1, road I/3 (from Brno, Bratislava, Wien, Linz, České Budějovice, Tábor):

Leave D 1 at cross with circular highway (R1), follow arrows "Karlovy Vary" to the crossing with road R6 and leave in direction of city centre; continue approx. 4 km to the city centre and turn left, according to arrow "Petřiny" ( see description for more detailed map) .

Road I/4 (from Passau, Strakonice, Linz, České Budějovice, Písek, Příbram):

After reaching the circular highway (R1), use it up to crossing with road I/6, which to use towards the center until you meet arrows left to Petřiny.

Motorway D 5 (from Paris, Nürnberg, Pilsen):

Before entering Prague turn to circular road (R1) towards Ruzyně, leave circular road at crossing with road I/6 towards centre, then follow arrows to Petřiny (see description of more detailed map)

Road I/6 (from Cheb, Karlovy Vary):

Leave the road as soon as you meet arrows left to Petřiny shortly after joining tram rails (see description of more detailed map)

Road I/7 (from Leipzig, Chomutov, Most, Louny, Slaný):

You have to leave the road to right at the crossing with Libocká street (at first tram terminus at the route)

Motorway D8 (from Berlin, Dresden, Teplice, Litoměřice):

If you have not left this route in Teplice, you have to leave it at Straškov, following road II/118 (former I/30) to Slaného onto I/7

Road I/9 (from Rumburk, Česká Lípa, Mělník):

From Mělník, continue using roads I/16, II/608 and II/101 to Kralupy nad Vltavou, then using road II/240 to Prague.

Road II/240 (from Velvary):

After joining Evropská avenue (first street with tram) continue only to the next crossing. You have to turn right here and to follow arrows Petřiny to the Institute.

Roads from eastern direction, this means R10 (from Harrachov, Liberec, Turnov, Mladá Boleslav), D 11 (from Náchod, Hradec Králové, Poděbrady), I/12 (from Kolín), I/2 (former II/333, from Kutná Hora):

Follow the arrows to Karlovy Vary, if going through city centre to Střešovice or Vypich crossing, using circular road to Řepy crossing with road I/6, then according to arrow Petřiny ( see description for more detailed map)
